At Northern Homes, our vision is simple: every piece of furniture we create is unique, tailored specifically to the form and function needs of each individual client. We are committed to steering clear of mass production, ensuring that every project is personal, from concept to completion.
What sets us apart is that David not only designs each piece, but he also personally fits it. While we plan to expand our team, David is committed to overseeing the fitting process, ensuring that everything meets his high standards of craftsmanship.
Together, we are a husband-and-wife team. David likes to say he’s the craftsman, and I’m the brains behind the operation—but between you and me, I think we know who’s really in charge! 😉
Our family is at the heart of our business. We have four boys, and while my background is actually in nursing, our shared passion for design has brought us here. Recently, our nephew Jamie joined the team, helping us continue to grow and create.
David’s late father, Eric, was also a creative spirit, and many say that David inherited his remarkable talent from him.
Where we are
Humble Beginnings
David has been immersed in the joinery world since the age of 17, honing his craft with a passion for precision and creativity. In September 2020, he founded Northern Homes, starting from our humble garage at home.
We quickly outgrew that space, moving first to a small shed in Dromore before finally settling into our workshop in February 2022.
